Are you looking for extra help on top of puppy class or private coaching? Try our Day Training Program. Your puppy will get 1:1 attention from a trainer.

If you'd like help on crating, puppy biting, house training, or other behaviors, private coaching may be the best option. These skills are briefly covered in CleverPuppy I, but are not a focus of group class.

Puppies can start training as soon as 7 days after their first round of vaccines. Puppies can join CleverPuppy I until 16 weeks of age and CleverPuppy II until 26 weeks of age.

If your puppy is older than 16 weeks and hasn’t taken CleverPuppy I, we recommend checking out our Beginner: Core Skills group class on our General Dog Training page. This class is designed for dogs 16 weeks and up, and takes into account where your puppy should be in their physical and emotional development. It's a great starting point for building foundational manners and life skills.

If your puppy eagerly takes treats away from home and doesn't bark or lunge at other dogs and people, group class is a great choice! Group training is also our most cost effective option.

Group classes run for 50 minutes and meet for a set number of weeks.

Socialization means more than just letting puppies play together.

Our puppy classes include a safe, structured interaction between puppies at the end of class, but the heart of our program is teaching your puppy how to feel confident in the world. That means positive exposure to new people, sounds, textures, handling, movement, and daily experiences — not just dog play.

It helps your puppy learn that the world is safe, manageable, and full of good things. This includes things like meeting people in hats, hearing vacuum cleaners, walking on slippery floors, or being examined at the vet.

Puppy play is part of the fun — but it’s only one piece of raising a well-rounded dog.
