The overall concept is simple - dogs need to find the source of the odor. But what about all the details? How precise do we need to be about handling odor? Letting it sit before doing a search? How do we track all the variables with temperature, time of day, sun, air flow, humidity and more? What happens if we use a marker signal or we don't? Do we need a trained alert? How do we avoid false alerts? How do we handle dogs returning to found hides?
